Born and raised in Flemington, New Jersey, Dan began playing golf with his father and grandfather at a very young age. He quickly fell in love with the game, and his passion for golf drove him to pursue a career in the turfgrass industry. Dan pursued a turfgrass degree at Horry Georgetown Technical College and during school he completed a summer internship at Muirfield Village Golf Club, where he helped host the 2017 Memorial Tournament. While at Muirfield Village Golf Club, Dan learned the intricacies and management of tournament quality bentgrass putting surfaces. Upon graduation from Horry Georgetown Technical College, he continued his career at Merion Golf Club, where Merion helped him grow both personally and professionally. Dan then moved to Duluth, Georgia where he was hired as Assistant Golf Course Superintendent at TPC Sugarloaf. Dan was exposed to all aspects of golf course construction as well as successful preparation and execution of the Mitsubishi Electric Classic in both 2018 and 2019. In the summer of 2019, Dan moved on to be the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent at Charlotte Country Club, where his career accelerated the most. He was involved in all day-to-day operations, agronomic planning, staff management, golf course construction and budgeting. All these experiences and the mentoring he received, especially at Charlotte Country Club, has molded him into the professional he is today. Dan is thrilled to be the new Golf Course Superintendent at The River Club, where everyone will see his passion and dedication to the golf course, the membership, and The River Club every day. He looks forward to meeting you all and giving you a golf course that you are proud to call home.
